📦 Booking Multi-Piece Shipments with TUNL

🤔 What Is a Multi-Piece Shipment? 

A multi-piece shipment (also known as a multi-package or multi-parcel shipment) allows you to send multiple parcels under one shipment booking. All parcels travel together to the same address, arrive at the same time, and are managed as a single shipment.

👨‍💻 Step-By-Step Guide

Follow along with this step-by-step guide to get your multi-piece shipments booked and ready to go



1️⃣ Step 1: Log in to your TUNL account
  • Click on “Create Shipment” in your TUNL dashboard.



2️⃣ Step 2: Enter Shipment Details
  • Ship From Address: Review and confirm the sender’s details.
  • Ship To Address: Enter the recipient’s full address.

✅ A green checkmark will appear when both sections are complete.



3️⃣ Step 3: Add Parcel Details

For each parcel:

  • Enter dimensions and weight
  • Add customs item details, including:
    • Description of goods
    • HS Code
    • Quantity
    • Total value
    • Total weight
    • Country of origin

Click “Add Parcel” to include additional boxes.

✅ This section will also show a green checkmark once complete.




4️⃣ Step 4: Review Shipping Services & Rates

Once all parcel and address info is entered, available multi-piece shipping rates will appear.

If no rates show, double-check:

  • Addresses
  • Parcel sizes
  • Customs information




5️⃣ Step 5: Choose Your Shipping Preferences

You can customise your shipment by selecting:

  • Preferred shipping service (FedEx/UPS)
  • Collection time
  • Signature on delivery (+R50)
  • Shipment protection (recommended for high-value goods)
  • Payment of duties & taxes (Sender or Receiver – DDP or DAP)




6️⃣ Step 6: Finalise the Booking
  • Review the total multi-piece shipping cost
  • Tick the declaration box to confirm all details are correct
  • Complete payment and purchase your shipping labels




7️⃣ Step 7: Download & Prepare Your Documents

For your multi-piece shipment, download:

  • A shipping label for every parcel
  • One commercial invoice for the full shipment

Print and attach the correct label to each parcel and include the commercial invoice behind the waybill.




8️⃣ Step 8: Get Ready for Collection

Ensure all parcels are packed, labelled, and ready for pickup at the time you selected.

🔧 How to Enable Pop-ups for Downloading Multiple Labels (Chrome)


To download multiple labels at once, pop-ups must be enabled for TUNL:

  1. Open Google Chrome and go to: chrome://settings/
  2. Select Privacy and security
  3. Click Site settings
  4. Scroll to Pop-ups and redirects
  5. Under Allowed to send pop-ups and use redirects, click Add
  6. Enter: https://app.tunl.to/
  7. Save and close



Now, when you click “Download Labels”, each label will open in a new tab, ready to print.

How to Enable Pop-ups for Downloading Multiple Labels


To ensure smooth downloading of multiple labels, follow these steps to enable pop-ups for TUNL in Google Chrome:


  1. Open Google Chrome and navigate to chrome://settings/.
  2. Scroll down and click on Privacy and security.
  3. In the Privacy and security section, scroll to the bottom and click on Site settings.
  4. Scroll down again and click on Pop-ups and redirects (located near the bottom of the page).
  5. To the right of, Allowed to send pop-ups and use redirects, click Add.
  6. Enter the following URL: https://app.tunl.to/
  7. Click Add to confirm.
  8. Close the settings tab.


When you click the Download Labels button from the shipments table, labels for each parcel will open in a new tab, ready for you to download and/or print.
