How to Add TUNL Shipping Rates to Your WooCommerce Store (No Devs Needed)

Shipping internationally with your WooCommerce store? Let’s make it effortless. With a little help from the Octolize Flexible Shipping plugin, you can start offering reliable TUNL rates at checkout, without calling in your dev team.

Whether you’re exporting for the first time or levelling up your e-commerce game, here’s your plug-and-play guide to getting it sorted.

🧰 Before You Start: Prep Your Products

A smooth shipping setup starts with clean product data:

Add product weights to every item. TUNL needs this to calculate rates.

Add a buffer. If your item weighs 0.2kg, enter 0.4kg to cover packaging extras.

Not sure what to enter? This guide on how we calculate rates clears it up.

🔎 FYI: Octolize is a third-party tool and costs $59/year.

🛠️ Step 1: Get the Octolize Plugin

Download the Flexible Shipping Import/Export plugin for WooCommerce from the Octolize’s site.

🌍 Step 2: Download Your TUNL Zone Rates

TUNL calculates shipping using zone-based pricing.

You’ll need:
The TUNL Zone Chart to figure out which zones you’re shipping to

Zone-specific CSV files from this folder

Heads-up: This integration includes FedEx and TUNL Economy rates only, no UPS.

🎥 Step 3: Import Your Rates Like a Pro

Time to bring it all together:

Watch our How to Add TUNL Rates to your Woocommerce Store video.

Upload the CSV files into Octolize.

Configure your shipping settings.

Watch our video on Testing Rates and Adding other Zones.

🚨 Don’t add tax to your international shipping zones. TUNL rates already cover that. Make sure the tax box is unticked in each method.

🧾 Important Things to Know

Octolize displays rates only. It doesn’t import or sync orders.

Once a customer checks out with a TUNL rate, just head to app.tunl.to to book the shipment.

It’s a simple setup that creates a smooth experience for your customers, no tech headaches, no guesswork.

💡 Pro Tip: Spot a Rate Difference?

If your customer pays one amount and TUNL quotes you another, don’t panic. It’s usually down to:

Weights have not been added to each product on your store

All countries are not selected when completing your integration

Your local shipping plugin is causing conflict/errors.

All shipping zones have not been added and enabled.
