Measuring Your Parcel

How do I measure my parcel if it is not rectangular? What do I need to know when measuring and weighing a parcel?

Measuring packages correctly is important to you and to us as it helps us when there are genuinely mistakes from either FedEx or UPS as we are able to dispute them efficiently.

Keeping a log (picture or video) of your measurements is the responsibility of you and we will not be able to dispute against FedEx or UPS on any discrepancies without this proof.

Important notes:
When wrapping your parcel in bubble wrap or any other thick protectors, we would highly recommend using this bubble wrap, styrofoam, or any other protector, inside your package as it wont add any additional measurements to your parcel, saving you from unexpected charges.
When measuring uneven packages, the longer of the two widths/lengths/heights must be taken as seen in E.g.2.2.

What happens if I don't measure packages correctly?

FedEx and UPS use highly accurate laser measuring devices, if the weight and/or dimensions do not match the values provided they will charge us those differences. TUNL will then pass those charges to our customers as well as charge a R50.00 fee for every parcel mismeasured.
