Need to Book an Import or Freight Shipment? Here’s How
Some shipments are a bit too bulky (or just plain complicated) to book directly through the TUNL platform. But no stress—we’ll still help you move them across borders.
If you’re shipping heavy freight or handling import logistics, this quick guide explains how to get it sorted.
What Can't Be Booked on the TUNL Platform (For Now)
Currently, these types of shipments can’t be processed through your usual dashboard:
Imports from international suppliers
FedEx International Priority Freight (import or export)
– For shipments weighing 68kg to 999kg
We’re actively working to integrate these into the platform—but until then, we’ve got a manual process to keep things moving.
How to Book an Import or Freight Shipment with TUNL
Step 1: Complete the Shipping Instruction Form
Fill out this short form with your shipment details:
🔗 TUNL Shipping Instruction Form
What we’ll need from you:

Step 2: Receive a Quote
Once we receive your info:
We’ll review the shipment details
Get in touch with a shipping quote
If you're happy to proceed, we’ll book it on your behalf
✅ All without you lifting a finger (well, besides filling out the form).
📦 Imports: What Your Supplier Needs to Know
To get your goods into South Africa without delays, your supplier must provide a commercial invoice. This document is required for customs clearance—no invoice, no entry.
👉 We do not assist with import collections.
Your supplier will need to drop the parcel off at their nearest FedEx or UPS depot. Once it's on its way, we’ll take it from there.
Timeline & Turnaround
📦 Note: It takes at least one business day to process and confirm freight or import bookings.
