TUNL Economy: Our Most Affordable USA Shipping Option

As of 20 August 2025, TUNL Economy is a DDP-only service. That means that you must collect duties from your customers and pay them to TUNL at the time you book your shipment.

No multi-piece shipments

Estimated delivery: 10–14 days from receipt at the TUNL warehouse (we suggest communicating 10 - 20 days to your customers)

Final mile by UPS Ground

Track via TUNL dashboard → “Track Shipment” → then UPS.com once handed over

TUNL Economy is our most cost-effective international shipping service, exclusively for parcels heading to the United States.

Destination: USA only

Weight Limit: Max 30kg volumetric or actual weight per shipment

Shipment Value Limit: Max $2500 per shipment (previously $800 before the ruling to remove the US de minimis)

🛫 How It Works

Drop-Off Deadline

We collect and process all parcels from our merchants by 5:00 PM every Tuesday.

Consolidation & Customs

Your parcel is grouped with others and cleared through customs. These parcels are packed into large shipping containers (called “consoles”) ready for export.

Export to the USA

The console departs South Africa over the weekend and lands in the USA by the following Tuesday or Wednesday.

Final Mile Delivery

Once in the US, our local partner receives the parcels and hands them over to UPS Ground for last-mile delivery across the country.

⏱️ Delivery Timeline

From the Tuesday your parcel is packed into the console, you can expect delivery to your customer in approximately 10–14 days.

Therefore, we advise using the following description for your customers: “TUNL Economy shipping, 10 to 20 days with UPS Ground”

UPS Ground usually takes 3–5 business days once the parcel is in their hands, depending on your customer’s location.

🔍 How to Track your TUNL Economy Parcel

On the right-hand side, locate the Shipments section and click on it.

Find the Economy shipment you’d like to view and click View.

At the top of the page, click the green Track Shipment button.

You can track your shipment on this page. Once your parcel has been handed to UPS Ground, click the “Click here to track on UPS.com” button at the top right to continue tracking via UPS directly.
