FDA Prior Notice
In order to ship food items to the US - prior approval is required by the FDA. This system is called Prior Notice and here is a guide to help you through this process.
Please note: First book your Express shipment to the US on our platform first before following the guide below. You will require the waybill details in order to get the Prior Notice.
Create FDA account
Go to https://www.access.fda.gov/ and click "create account."
Click the checkbox marked "Prior Notice Interface" and then "Continue" and fill out the rest of your company / personal information to complete the account.
Create Web Entry & Prior Notice
Log in (direct link here: https://www.access.fda.gov/oaa/logonFlow.htm?execution=e2s1)
Click "Prior Notice System Interface" at the bottom of the page
Click "Create New Web Entry"
On the next screen, choose "Consumption, Express Courier" from the drop down and click "Next"
On the "Web Entry Create" screen, under Entry Information, click "Not known. (Requests a system-generated identifier.)" and under how many notices, add "1".
Under "Submitter", Choose "Yes" for the question: "Are you the Submitter for this Web Entry?"
then Click "Enter Submitter" and enter your details
Click "Enter Importer" and fill out the receivers details
Under "Carrier", Choose "Express Courier - Air" for the question: "Mode of Transportation"
then click "Enter Carrier", Fill out "FX" as the "IATA Code", "FEDEX" as the "Carrier Name" and then add the tracking number for the shipment you booked.
on the next screen, click "Create Create Prior Notice"

Use the "Search>>" screen to find the right FDA Product code - for Raw Honey in Glass:
Use the "Wizard" to complete the packaging information.

You then will need to wait up to 30 minutes. Please click "Find Web Entries" and then click the entry which should now show "Complete". Click "Print Summary" on this page to get your FDA PN document.
Last step, is to please attach this to your parcel in a separate sleeve and make sure it is well marked so that customs has access to this document at port of arrival.
Summary:
Certification is needed to ship food items and without these we would not be able to assist with shipping. Please ensure you know the requirements to ship food.
FDA Prior Notice is required for shipping food items to the US.
First, book your shipment, then follow the steps to create an FDA account and Prior Notice.
Ensure the waybill details are available before submitting the Prior Notice.
After submission, print and attach the FDA PN document to your parcel for customs clearance.
