How to Get Shipping Quotes Using TUNL 🌍

Get clear, accurate pricing for your international shipments — whether you need a quick estimate or a detailed quote 📦

1. Instant Shipping Quote on TUNL’s Instant Rate Calculator ⚡

You can get an instant quote directly on our website using the Instant Rate Calculator.

⚠️ Important:

The Instant Rate Calculator only supports single-piece shipments (one box per quote).
It does not include:
- Outlying area collection/delivery charges
- Additional handling fees for large parcels
- Duties and taxes

It’s a great way to get a quick estimate for one parcel, but it’s not a final landed cost and not suitable for multi-piece shipments.

2. Detailed & Multi-Piece Quotes in the TUNL App 💻

For a more accurate, shipment-specific quote - including multi-piece shipments and more detailed pricing - you’ll need to create a mock shipment in the TUNL app:

Sign in to the TUNL app
Click “Create Shipment”
Enter your shipment details (including all parcels if it’s multi-piece)
Each section will have a green check mark if it has been successfully completed
Once all sections have been completed, you will see your quote on the right hand side of the screen

✅ This view will give you a clearer breakdown of:

Base shipping cost
Estimated duties and taxes, including VAT where applicable
Any surcharges, such as outlying area fees

You can use this as a mock quote without confirming the shipment if you’re just checking pricing - simply exit the page once you’ve got your quote - or you can proceed to book the shipment by clicking “Buy Labels”.

Please note that, while our pricing stays fairly constant, quotes generated on our platform are subject to change.

3. Heavy Freight Quotes (Exports) 🧱📦

For Heavy Freight export shipments between 30kg – 999kg (often palletised or very heavy freight), please reach out to our Support Team on WhatsApp or Chat with the following details so we can provide you with an accurate quote:

Dimensions: Length × Width × Height (per piece)
Weight: per piece or total
Destination country
Collection address

Our Support team will review your information, confirm the best freight option, and assist you with booking the shipment.

4. Imports, Personal Shipments & Gifts 🚫

We’re currently focused on helping South African businesses and merchants export internationally.

We are not set up for imports or personal shipments/gifts, so we aren’t the best partner for that just yet 🙂
