Why is there a shipping rate difference when I book on TUNL vs what my customer paid via the plugin
To ensure the shipping rate on your TUNL profile matches the shipping rate on your store, please follow these guidelines:
Assign Weights to Your Products
Make sure each product in your store has a weight assigned.
These weights should include the packaging.
Use either the actual weight or the volumetric weight of the items—whichever is greater.
The greater weight is referred to as the chargeable weight and will be used to calculate your shipping rate.
For more information and a tool to help with this calculation, refer to the article on Rates Calculation (Volume vs Actual Weight)
Why This Is Important
Each product's weight will be added together on your store, and the total weight should match the chargeable weight displayed on your TUNL profile when booking a shipment.
Handling Items with Different Shapes and Sizes
If your items have varying shapes and sizes, and your parcel contains a lot of empty space (increasing the volumetric weight), it’s best to book your shipment as a multi-piece shipment.
For detailed instructions, check out the article on How to Book a Multi-piece Shipment
Another reason your shipping rates may differ is due to an outlying area charge
Outlying area charges will not appear on your store if you are not using our Shopify Live Rates Integration.
However, this charge may be reflected in the shipping rate on your TUNL profile.
To confirm if there is an outlying area charge, on the carrier screen, click the dropdown arrow and look at the line items that make up the rate
